Recital Dates:

***PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE STARTING 15 MINUTES EARLY ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY – MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE ON TIME!!!

 

Recital will be held at the Locust Valley High School Auditorium

 

No food or drinks allowed in Auditorium for both the Dress Rehearsal and Recital

 

  • Secure all costumes (double elastic on straps). If pins are not sufficient, use a needle and thread so that costumes will withstand three-day usage. Sew elastic on hats so that dancers feel comfortable while performing, please use clear elastic or dip white elastic in tea so that it blends with the dancer's skin tone.
  • Repaint shoes and bows to match the color of shoes.
  • Absolutely NO UNDERWEAR. Costumes are worn like a bathing suit.
  • HAIR MUST BE WORN UP (if older than 5 years) in either a bun or a French braid, NO SCRUNCHIES.
  • No jewelry. No gum, ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD IS PERMITTED IN THE AUDITORIUM.
  • Make-up should be exaggerated so features can be seen from the audience.
  • We have worked hard all year to perfect the dances. Please put extra effort into your appearance. Do not wait until the last minute to get organized. Label all of your costumes, hats, etc.
  • Please be there at least a half an hour before show time, lined up with your class and ready to go on. If you are in the second half of the show, line up during intermission. *WE ARE STARTING 15 MINUTES EARLY ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY*
  • TICKETS: may be picked up during regular class hours at the studio May 16- 23rd, no tickets will be sold at the door. WE ARE SOLD OUT.
  • FAST CHANGES: Contact me about where to change.
  • For your convenience and costume changes, the recital line up is below.
  • Once again, there will be a TV backstage so dancers can watch the show.
  • Absolutely NO students will be allowed in the auditorium with a costume- bring a cover up.
  • There will be no classes on Memorial Day- Monday May 31
  • Parking: No parking behind the auditorium for ANYONE. Special parking arrangements must be made in advance for the handicapped to be dropped off. Ample parking is available in front of the school.
  • Take special care of the auditorium and it's surroundings. It has just been redone. We are very grateful for it's usage.
  • There is no air conditioning in the auditorium- pray for cool weather
  • All children must comply with the above or they will be asked to leave the auditorium. No talking in the hallways, backstage, etc. during the recital.
  • Audience is to remain seated during the performance.
  • No Videotaping or standing in the back of the auditorium.
  • Arrive promptly for show time. The auditorium doors will be closed for the opening number and the first number after intermission.
  • All students performing a half- hour before show time.
